Meet the Maker

Hi! 
I’m Jaydee (pronounced Jay-Dee, not Jade).

Im 26 and I live in Worcestershire, UK with my boyfriend and our son, Arthur who will turn 2 in November. 

When Arthur was born he was gifted a beautiful blue rabbit teddy which he quickly became attached to! He also loved to settle to sleep with a muslin over his face.
I obviously never allowed this to happen unsupervised... which made me think... we needed something similar, with all of the comforts of his rabbit and muslin cloth but safer and much smaller! 
I couldn’t find what I was looking for online. So, whilst I was still on maternity leave and had plenty of free time whilst he napped, I got out a pencil and some paper and roughly sketched up a few ideas.

I went to my mums with one of Arthur’s old baby grows and his favourite muslin cloth and showed my mum my sketch and asked her to help me make it! I’d never even touched a sewing machine before so as you can imagine, my mum laughed. 
But, with my mum showing me how, I made it! It was wonky and it definitely wasn’t square, but Arthur instantly took to it and from then on wouldn’t settle without it! 

After feeling so proud of this ‘Thing’ I’d made for my son I got completely hooked... for the next few weeks I was to and from my mums house with more muslins and outgrown baby grows to cut up!

As I made a few more they got a little bit easier and a little bit neater and I thought ‘maybe other babies might like them too’.

And that’s how Bebe Snuggs was born!
